Dr. Lucinda Hemmick and Ephraim Horowitz of the Southold Indian Museum will present a talk on the ancient landscape of eastern Long Island and the Native People who once lived there. Explore 12,000 years of history, Algonquian culture and the changing landscape from the Ice Age to the present day. The technology of ancient hunting weapons, artifacts, maps, slides, LiDAR images, paintings, and other images will illustrate the talk. Guests are invited to bring in possible Native American artifacts in their collections for identification.
