A week for eight at the spectacular Villa Tripoli - www.villatripoli.com

A century-old countryside villa, carefully restored and furnished with Italian antiques and Asian and African furniture and artifacts.

A catered dinner at the house

Umbrian cuisine prepared with fresh locally-sourced ingredients.

A dinner at nearby farm-to-table restaurant

An organic farm and restaurant owned by a young couple devoted to perpetuating heirloom varieties of grains and serving delicious meals of their own invention and ingredients.


Two wine tastings

One at local winery producing fine wines from traditional grapes of the region (grechetto, trebbiano, sangiovese), and the other by a young innovative wine-maker producing wines from grenache and alicante grapes.

A cheese tasting

To be held at one of three nearby farms: one producing the area’s traditional pecorino cheese, one of a producer of organic capra (goat) cheese, or another making buffalo mozzarella.

A private tour of the historic Umbrian hilltown of Orvieto

with its Etruscan archeological sites, Medieval quarter, world-famous Gothic cathedral, and craftsmen of olive wood, textiles and ceramics.

The owner of the property will be on-site to facilitate the activities included in the auction. She will be happy to organize additional experiences, provide advice on things to see, and recommend the best local restaurants.
