FALL HARVEST LECTURE: The Not-So-Simple-Life of a Farmer

event-banner-fall-lecture18.jpg

Speaker: Al Krupski

The pumpkin craze, spooky barns and giant corn mazes are rapidly fading into the distance, so what's a pumpkin farmer to do? Lots!...Especially when the farmer is Al Krupski, Suffolk County Legislator!

Halloween may be over, but the harvest season on the North Fork is still going strong. Fall vegetables are in abundance at the farms and everyone is gearing up for the colder weather and Thanksgiving feasts, which means plenty of farm chores for Al to tackle before winter arrives.

Come meet 4th Generation Cutchogue farmer and Suffolk County Legislator, Al Krupski. Hear about the first Krupskis, when they settled on the North Fork and how they got their start in farming. Find out why they decided to try growing pumpkins and how the family, which now includes 5th generation Krupskis, all works together to make the Krupski Pumpkin Farm the wonderful and picturesque success that it is today.
